Get up to speed with best practices and plug into better deal flows at this half-day bootcamp on angel investing in tech startups. Led by veteran startup investor, advisor and operator, Gordon Daugherty, the bootcamp will cover fundamentals of angel investing like portfolio strategy, deal sourcing, deal mechanics along with an opportunity for you to ask questions. After the presentation and discussion, we’ll immediately put the learning to work using a real case study from a startup that is raising a seed funding round. Immediately following their fundraising pitch and Q&A session, you’ll get a chance to debrief with Gordon and the other participants.
About the Instructor:
Gordon Daugherty is a bestselling author, seasoned business executive, startup advisor and investor. He has made more than 400 investments into early-stage companies and has been involved with raising more than $100 million in growth and venture capital. From his 28-year career in high tech, Gordon has both an IPO and a $200-million acquisition exit under his belt. Now, as co-founder and chairman of Capital Factory and as author of the book “Startup Success”, Gordon spends 100 percent of his time educating, advising, and investing in startups.

Parking/Directions: Parking is available beneath McNair Hall in the Central Campus parking garage. The easiest route is to enter campus at Entrance 20 off Rice Blvd., turn right at the second stop sign, and the down-ramp entrance to the garage will be about 100 yards down on your left. However, this garage will fill up quickly; if the garage is full, proceed to West Lot 2. Insert your credit card to enter the garage/lot. There are no in-and-out privileges. Allow ample time for parking.
