Childcare providers will learn how to deal with the high cost of care by accessing your current business model; identifying cost-saving strategies for your center; accessing revenue opportunities through contracts and small business loans; how to hire and retain staff; and build client loyalty and retention. \n \nModule 1 – Introduction to Texas Rising Star/ Category 1-Director and Staff \nQualifications Training \nWe will review the history of the Texas Rising Star Program. Participants will gain a thorough knowledge of measures relating to the education\, experience\, and training of all staff including directors. Participants will walk away from this session with a complete understanding of the TRS program and staff qualifications. \n \nModule 1- Category 1- Introduction to Texas Rising Star \n1.History \n2. Directors Qualifications and Training \n3. Staff Qualifications\, Orientation and Training \n4. Module One Homework Assignment: Complete Facility Assessment Record Form \n \n \nModule 2 – Category 2- Teacher/Child Interactions \nWe will understand measures relating to group size\, staff-to-child ratio\, and quality of interactions between teachers and children in the classroom. We will also discuss assessments that will show progress\, regression\, sustainability in children’s social and \nemotional wellbeing as well as their knowledge\, growth\, providers\, and families can easily understand the outcomes and gain tools through these assessments to create an individualized support plan for each child in their care. \n \nModule 2 will touch on the following elements: \n1.Group Size/ Staff Ratios (Center Base Only) \n2. Warm and Responsive Style \n3. Language Facilitation and Support \n4. Play-Based Interactions and Guidance \n5.Support for Childrens Regulation \n6. Module Two Homework Assignment: Complete Classroom Assessment Record Form \n \n \nModule 3 – Category 3: Program Administration \nWe will look at the measures relating to education and involvement of parents and families in the program and how the program is managed. This 1 DAY program will provide you with the knowledge and resources you need to build and grow a successful business in 2025. \nFive participants that sign-up and complete the entire session will receive a free laptop. And 5 will receive a Start-up Business Marketing Kit (which will include 2500 business cards\, one vehicle magnet decal)\, and free access to the DreamBuilder online business program provided by Freeport McMoRan\, virtual instruction from experienced business advisors and lenders\, guidance on obtaining funding\, and access to online small business resources. \nClick the green “Register” button in the top right corner to submit your application to be considered for the program.
