Embracing Emergence: Adaptive Leadership for Uncertain Times
November 12, 2020 @ 15:00 - November 14, 2020 @ 13:00 CST
We are at a powerful time in history that has highlighted inequities and changed the ways we work and build together. We have the unique opportunity to collectively take a step back, pause, and shift our systems with intention, creativity, and care for the whole.
Impact Hub is proud to offer a retreat to strengthen our community’s adaptive leadership skills in this time. This leadership retreat is rooted in adrienne maree brown’s “Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change, Changing Worlds”. Participants will be introduced to concepts of emergence and adaptive leadership. We will collectively explore how emergence can be applied in our work, and how we can integrate these strategies into our leadership practices.
We welcome both established and emerging leaders in the field of social change to participate.
This is a multi-day retreat is being held both virtually and at Lake Roland Park:
- Thursday, November 12th [3pm-5pm]– Virtual
- Friday, November 13th [10am-4pm]– Lake Roland Park, Pavilion #2
- Saturday, November 14th [10am-1pm]– Lake Roland Park, Pavilion #2
Registration is pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation of $50-$125 to cover the cost of food and materials. Participants will receive a copy of Emergent Strategy and catered lunch on Friday.
The retreat will be capped at 20 participants to be in accordance with current limits for gathering.
We will follow all public health guidelines including masks, social distancing, and health checks. Please plan to participate on all 3 days.
