FemTech Book Club – Blood by Dr Jen Gunter

March 27 @ 18:00 - 19:30 CDT

Monthly Book Club and Q&A to discuss topics and questions inspired by books and authors from the world of women’s health and wellness.

Join FemTech Focus at our monthly FemTech Book Club hosted by FemFans Susan Stover and Karen Wells!

On the last Wednesday of every month at 7pm ET, we’ll be discussing a book or other media from the world of women’s health and wellness.

Whether you’ve read the book in entirety, skimmed a few chapters, or are just curious about the topics included, all are welcome for thoughtful conversation, Q&A sessions, and an opportunity to engage with the FemTech community.

Bring your favorite drinks or snacks. Zoom video is optional! This will be an informal, relaxed, and nourishing session. You will have an opportunity chat with other attendees on Zoom.

For this month’s FemTech Book Club we’ll be discussing Blood: The Science, Medicine, and Mythology of Menstruation by Dr. Jen Gunter

Blood dispels the shame, mythology, and misinformation around menstruation with scientific facts, medical expertise, and a fierce feminist perspective. Dr. Gunter offers a clear, no-nonsense guide to reproductive anatomy and answers all the questions you never knew you had about menstrual bleeding— from where does the blood come from to the connection between the endometrium and the immune system, to irregular bleeding. With her expertise and trademark wit, Dr. Gunter debunks myths and challenges patriarchal attitudes toward this natural bodily process.

IMPT: Please register for the event on Eventbrite.
