How to Prepare Your Pitch
August 10 @ 11:00 - 12:00 CDT
Building a clear and compelling pitch deck is crucial at any stage of the fundraising process. This isn’t about making a pretty deck. It’s about structuring your narrative and communicating the most important aspects of your business in a way that makes sense to investors. You’ll walk away from this workshop with a clear understanding of the investor mindset and tactics you can implement to craft your own compelling pitch.
A fundraising pitch is unlike any other presentation. It’s intuitive to sell to customers or partners, but it isn’t intuitive to put yourself in the investor mindset to present a compelling investment opportunity. We’ll help you understand how to look at your pitch through the lens of de-risking your opportunity for the investor, how to lead them through your story, and how to use supporting data effectively.
In this session Allison will cover:
- An investor-approved framework for the key sections of a pitch in a compelling narrative order.
- How to structure slides so they are easy to understand.
- The information investors want you to include in each section of your pitch to de-risk your opportunity.
