IN-PERSON: Rice Scientia Institute presents “Connections”
October 7, 2021 @ 16:00 - 17:00 CDT

The Scientia Institute (https://scientia.rice.edu/) at Rice University’s 2021-22 Lecture Series touches on the many connections that animate nature and human life. All organisms and materials exist in a deeply interconnected system. Humans have complex international connections; smart devices increasingly have interconnections independent of their designers; and the university reminds us of the collaborative connections across fields. This year’s series explores many of these connections that faculty pursue at Rice.
The series kicks off October 7 with two presentations:
“Connecting the Small and the Big by Connecting People” by Dr. B. Paul Padley, Professor, Director of the T.W. Bonner Laboratory
