Are You Procurement Ready?

We will discuss what Procurement is and how you get Procurement ready. This includes going over common Procurement terminologies, and basic terms and concepts in a contract, overview of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and understanding what it means to be Procurement Ready.

Identification of NIGP Codes and Highway District:

Learn how to effectively identify and utilize National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) codes and Highway District classifications relevant to your business offerings and services.

Understand the importance of accurately selecting NIGP codes and Highway Districts to enhance visibility and alignment with government procurement needs.

Navigating CMBL Registration and Its Importance:

Gain a basic understanding of the registration process for the Centralized Masters Bidders List (CMBL) and understand its significance in accessing government contracting opportunities in Texas.

Recognize the benefits of being listed on the CMBL and comprehend the implications of registration for enhancing business visibility and competitiveness in the government procurement marketplace.

We will discuss the State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business Program (HUB), in what manner to identify your National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP codes) and Highway District, the importance of registering on the Centralized Masters Bidders List (CMBL), and finally, understanding who qualifies for the HUB Certification, document requirements, and the application process.
