What is social entrepreneurship? How to become a social entrepreneur?🧐 In the next webinar that will be held as a part of Accelerate2030 Turkey program, we will discuss the foundations of social entrepreneurship, its limits and values.In this inspiring session, which will be moderated by Rawan Hudaifa from Impact Hub İstanbul; the founder of We Organization, Adel AlBaghdadi and the founder of Sharqi Shop, Saleem Najjar will be our guests. Adel AlBaghdadi

Born & raised in Damascus –Syria, he went to Law School to pursue his dream of becoming a diplomat or working in one of the international humanitarian organizations and contributing to the World Peace Building. He arrived in 2015 to the Netherlands and founded the WE organization. Born out of the need to cultivate spaces for empathy, inter-cultural dialogue & purposeful community engagement, “WE organization” is a young social initiative that aims to develop various projects targeting different segments of the society in order to tackle Xenophobia, build bonds and promote social inclusion.

Saleem Najjar

Saleem is a social entrepreneur, and one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in 2021, according to JCI.He’s the founder of Sharqi Shop, a social enterprise that has created job opportunities for over 200 artisans (Mostly Syrians), allowing them to make a monthly income by selling their products to over 30 countries around the world. Sharqi gives those craftspeople the ability to make revenue without the need to worry about logistics, marketing or customer service. Saleem is also the founder of Syrgo.com platform, working to help Syrians around the world to access their personal and civil documents. He has won numerous awards celebrating entrepreneurship, including the European Youth Award in 2018, the Roadshow Award in 2018, first place in the NASA International Space Apps Challenge in 2017, the Techfugees Award in 2016, and Best Established Business in Syria Award in 2010 by Shell.
