Mikwam Makwa Ikwe – Ice Bear Woman: Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneurship

Highlighting the barriers faced by Indigenous women in entrepreneurship.

The Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH) is pleased to present Mikwam Makwa Ikwe | Ice Bear Woman: A National Needs Analysis on Indigenous Women’s Entrepreneurship.

This report highlights the barriers that Indigenous women entrepreneurs shared during these roundtable discussions, as well as provide calls-to-action for the wider Indigenous women’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Ashley Richard is the National Indigenous Outreach and Partnership Development Lead for the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub. She is part of the Class of 2021 cohort for the Masters in Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship program at Queen’s University.
