Project InsideOut Summit: 5 Guiding Principles
The threats from climate change today are unprecedented. Yet many of us fail to take action because we feel too overwhelmed. Or we stay numb and do nothing. If we do act, often it’s to avoid our feelings altogether. All limit our capacity to make positive change in the world.
Join us for the launch of Project InsideOut! Based on the pioneering work of environmental psychologist Renée Lertzman, PhD, Project InsideOut’s Resource Hub serves as both an online informational resource and a forum for sharing expertise and insights. It applies the latest research and best practices in psychology to help people on the journey from despair, passivity and denial toward courageous, more impactful environmental action.
On October 20-22, Dr. Renée Lertzman will introduce the Resource Hub tools, facilitate discussions with Dr. Dan Siegel and other experts in the field, and present examples of implementing the tools with partners whom participated in the pilot program. The launch will begin with an introduction, followed by 5 sessions that dive deeper into each Guiding Principle. The session schedule is as follows:
- October 20, 8-9:30am PST: Introduction
- October 20, 11am-12:30pm PST: Be Attuned
- October 21, 8-9:30am PST: Be Relational
- October 21, 11am-12:30pm PST: Be Supportive
- October 22, 8-9:30am PST: Be Long Term
- October 22, 11am-12:30pm PST: Be Real
