Tools and Mindsets for Systems Change
Systems change is about addressing the root cause of social problems. ‘Solutions’ to pervasive social issues such as the climate crises, systemic social inequality, corruption, and authoritarianism (etc) are elusive and embedded in networks of cause and effect. To address the challenges humanity faces today and into the future in an increasingly interconnected and complex world mired by increasing rates of change, we need a different set of tools and mindsets.
Together, we’ll gain a high-level overview of systems change and equip participants with some tools and mindsets for navigating systems and thinking differently about complex problems.
Eva Oloumi is the founder of Paradeigma, a strategy, and systems practice that helps social enterprises surpass their business and social goals while creating lasting solutions to systemic problems. Prior to this, Eva co-founded PwC Canada’s collaborative design practice ‘Catalyst’. Eva nerds out on all things systems and is currently obsessed with concepts of dissent and power in social innovation.
