Swedish Landscape Architect from Landskapslaget AB, the biggest independent office for Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning and Design in Sweden.
As a consultant in cooperation with the municipality of Stockholm and various construction companies, she has been active in the realization of several public spaces and residential areas since 2000.
She has a capability to put emphasis on key questions concerning the conditions for biological life in all parts of city planning to provide for ecological and social sustainability. Her main focus as an urban designer is on how the green, social and historical aspects can be part of the design process. The aim for each project is to create and increase values of culture, nature and equity in public spaces and to provide for positive and great experiences in people’s daily and local life.
From Colombia: Waldo-Yecid Ortiz-Romero
Architect and Urban designer. He is Deputy Director of the Real Estate Registry in Bogota – Departamento Administrativo de la Defensoría del Espacio Público – (DADEP); Deputy Manager of Urban Management and Project Structuring Manager at Empresa de renovación y Desarrollo Urbano de Bogotá D.C. – ERU; and Coordinator of the Urban Arborization Program – Jardín Botánico José Celestino Mutis – Bogotá D.C., among other things.
Waldo has extensive experience in management and coordination for the conceptual and technical structuring of Urban Planning projects and implementation of planning instruments: City Master Plan, Zonal Plans, Parks Master Plans, Renewal and development plans, among others. Auditing and supervision of design and public works contracts. Interinstitutional management.
Moderation by: Lauri Robbins Ericson
An advisor, coach and speaker with a focus on leadership, gender and inclusion. She has worked with leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, CEOs and purpose-driven change makers such as Innovations for Poverty Action, Acumen, City of Stockholm Education, MTR and Ralph Lauren.
Lauri’s work in West and South Africa, India, Europe, Central America and the United States has magnified how important it is to transform the perception of females in society so their contributions are valued.
Lauri also serves on the Advisory Committee for the Women and Girls Africa Summit and is an advisor for “Urban Challenges: Making Public Transportation Safe for All”, a multi-country project sponsored by the Swedish Institute.

The conversation will focus on SDG 11.6, to discuss the idea of providing universal access to safe, inclusive and accessible, green and public spaces, in particular for women and children, older persons and persons with disabilities”.
How are cities acting on this? What can they learn from each other? How are we adapting the agenda’s objectives to the new scenarios from Covid19?
This session will be held in English.
