The pandemic is pictured as a unifying issue. One motto keeps echoing from nations to communities: “We are all in this together”.

It’s all over social media, newspapers, magazines, TV. But are we really in this together?

Isn’t it rather that we’re weathering the same storm but on different boats? Although the pandemic narrative makes us look equally impacted, COVID-19 is affecting people in very different ways. If your ship is shipwrecked or you’re navigating on a solid transatlantic, how you get out of the storm might look very different.

In the first event of the Gender Equity & Social Justice Tribe, we’ll dive into how and if the coronavirus crisis is amplifying existent inequalities. We’ll listen to each other’s stories about how we are experiencing the world in crisis through an intersectional and gender lens. We’ll observe where the stories are connected and notice how it all comes together on a collective and societal level.

Join us for an honest, online conversation in a safe space, and bring along your open mind and willingness to listen without judgment.

This event is brought to you by the Gender Equity & Social Justice Tribe at Impact Hub Berlin – where change goes to work.
