Join us as we review the history of the Texas Rising Star Program! Participants will walk away with an understanding of the TRS program!

Join us for an exciting online event, Grow Now: Small Business Childcare Program (Houston), where we will review the history of the Texas Rising Star Program. Participants will gain a thorough knowledge of measures relating to the education, experience, and training of all staff including directors. Participants will walk away from this session with a complete understanding of the TRS program and staff qualifications. Programming begins on:

Date: Friday, October 11, 2024 Time: 10:00 AM-3:00 PM (Central Standard Time)

This program is a high-impact initiative that offers step-by-step guidance in completing the Texas Rising Star Certification. Childcare providers will learn how to deal with the high cost of care by accessing your current business model; identifying cost-saving strategies for your center; accessing revenue opportunities through contracts and small business loans; how to hire and retain staff; and build client loyalty and retention.

Module 1 – Introduction to Texas Rising Star/ Category 1-Director and Staff

Qualifications Training

We will review the history of the Texas Rising Star Program. Participants will gain a thorough knowledge of measures relating to the education, experience, and training of all staff including directors. Participants will walk away from this session with a complete understanding of the TRS program and staff qualifications.

Category 1

Module 2 – Category 2- Teacher/Child Interactions

In this module, we will understand measures relating to group size, staff-to-child ratio, and quality of interactions between teachers and children in the classroom. We will also discuss assessments that will show progress, regression, sustainability in children’s social and

emotional well-being as well as their knowledge, growth, providers, and families can easily understand the outcomes and gain tools through these assessments to create an individualized support plan for each child in their care.

3. Language Facilitation and Support

4. Play-Based Interactions and Guidance

5.Support for Childrens Regulation

Module 3 – Category 3: Program Administration

In this module we will look at the measures relating to education and involvement of parents and families in the program and how the program is managed. Participants will walk away with tools to create an effective family education program, family involvement, and have the best

practices for program management.

Module 4 – Category 4 Indoor and Outdoor Environments

In this module we will discuss measures relating to the equipment, materials, and arrangement of the indoor and outdoor leaning environments. Engaging centers that show differentiated learning and engagement. Participants will walk away from the final module with the ability to create an indoor and outdoor space that resembles a high-quality early childhood. environment.
