Juneteenth is a holiday of social inclusion. Culture, history, liberation, and celebration take center stage at the 2024 Juneteenth Afrosounds Edition. SAiD INSTITUTE will honor and celebrate Juneteenth with our AFROSOUNDS community art performance event on Friday, June 28th, 2024.
We have invited musicians and poets to share poetry and songs of Liberation and Freedom in honor of Juneteenth. We’ve particularly sought out pieces that speak to the struggles of people fighting for a better world, free from war, poverty, racism, and all forms of oppression.
