Möchtest Du soziale Herausforderungen lösen und zu einer besseren Welt beitragen?

Dann werde Teil von 95 weiteren Städten und 5.000 Jammern und komm’ zur 2. Ausgabe des #GlobalGoalsJam in Hamburg. Lokale Innovator*innen und Kreative werden ihre Kräfte bündeln, um Projekte für die nachhaltigen Entwicklungsziele (SDGs) zu entwickeln.

Wir laden Dich ein, Dein Netzwerk zu erweitern und mehr über die Methoden des Design-Thinking zu erfahren – an einem Wochenende voller spannender Designsprints. Als Teilnehmer*in erarbeiten Du und Dein Team Lösungen zu den Themen Bildung für Alle (SDGs #4, #10) und Nachhaltige Entwicklung für Mensch und Planet (SDGs #1, #8). Du triffst Dich online und jammst mit Teilnehmer*innen aus Hamburg und der ganzen Welt, alle mit unterschiedlichen Hintergründen, mit unterschiedlichen Fähigkeiten, die alle zusammenkommen, um ihre Kreativität zu bündeln.

Did you ever wonder how you can use your skills and experiences for making Hamburg and the world a better place? Come jam with us!

ABOUT THIS EVENT

Are you passionate about solving social challenges and improving lives? Join us, 95 other cities and 5,000+ jammers in the 2nd edition of the #GlobalGoalsJam Hamburg. Local innovators and creatives will join forces to design actionable interventions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We invite you to expand your network and learn about design thinking methods in a weekend packed with engaging design sprints. As a participant, you and your team will create solutions aimed at the themes Education for all (SDGs #4, #10) and Sustainable Development for People and Planet (SDGs #1, #8). You will meet and jam with participants from Hamburg and across the globe, all from diverse backgrounds, with different skills, who will come together to channel their creativity.

You are NOT expected to be an expert in any field. You are NOT expected to be a designer. Just bring your best energy and your curious mind. The rest is already there.

Serimizin bu özel etkinliğinde; Nestlé Purina’nın önderliğinde sokak hayvanlarının yaşam koşullarının iyileştirilmesi konusunda değer yaratmak için yürüttüğü çalışmaların tecrübelerini ve paydaşlarını, Impact Hub’ın sosyal etkiyi yenilikçi çözümler ile yaygınlaştırma ve topluluk oluşturma gücüyle birleştirerek geliştirdiği “Canımız Sokakta” projesi kapsamında,sokak hayvanları meselesini tüm yönleriyle ele almak üzere konunun uzmanlarını ağırlıyoruz.

THIS WILL BE A VIRTUAL CONVENING! WE’LL BE HACKING SOLUTIONS FROM HOME, TOGETHER!

Impact Hub Houston and Sketch City invite you to connect and collaborate with Houston at our virtual Open Project Night focusing on “Climate Action.

Let’s connect and collaborate (virtually) with passionate people who are working on projects, ventures, and collaborations to improve the resilience and quality of life in Houston. If you have an idea, are working on something, or are looking for ways to collaborate with people who are doing work at the intersection of innovation and impact this event is for you! The event requires both a mixture of presenters and people from the community to support, listen, and collaborate with the presenters.

5:10-5:25pm Guest Presentations + Q&A

5:25-5:45pm Virtual Breakout Rooms to discuss potential solutions for the topic.

5:45-5:55pm Report Back! Your Open Pitch should be max of 2 mins each and answer the following questions before the community can provide feedback:

  • Brief personal introduction + What is your project/idea?
  • What stage are you currently at? (idea/testing/implementation etc)
  • What are your next series of steps?
  • What are you currently looking for in the way of talent/skills from the community?

About our Guest Speaker:

Dakota Stormer, Co-Founder and CEO, Footprint App, Inc.

Dakota currently serves as the chairman of the student board for the Johns Hopkins University Energy Policy and Climate program, while also serving as a leader of a grassroots network of over 2000 energy industry employees tackling the energy transition. He is also the co-founder and CEO of Technicology, L.L.C. and Footprint App, Inc., and is a well known environmental activist on social media. He has represented the United States as a facilitator of a United Nations innovation lab addressing the sustainable development goals (UNLEASH), and is also on the committee for the Gaia campaign for sustainable change within the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He has founded six organizations and served on the board of over ten community and educational associations across the United States, including Global Environmental Brigades and a Keep Texas Beautiful affiliate. Within these roles, Dakota has lead numerous successful sustainability campaigns, including a food waste reduction campaign, a carbon emissions reduction campaign, and an energy efficiency campaign that received state-wide recognition from the Texas Environmental Excellence Awards. Aside from leadership and activism, Dakota has also worked on multiple innovation projects, including the solar tracking project that eventually won Shell Ideas360, an international innovation competition. He has been featured multiple times in the Houston Chronicle and was nominated by a Vice President of Shell for Forbes Under 30.

Redefining the Future: Inclusive and Sustainable Urbanization

Join Impact Hub Monterrey with Impact Hub Stockolm for a Cross-City dialogue to learn best practices with experts from Sweden and Mexico.

Inclusive and sustainable urbanization, integrated human settlement planning

The initiative is a partnership among seven Impact Hubs, located in Sweden, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, with the purpose of elevating forward-thinking conversations with experts across industries and nations, to show the world how socially responsible companies are addressing Sustainable Development Goal 11.

This conference series will consist of one session, every two weeks – starting on August 17th. This event will have a Panelist from Impact Hub Monterrey and one from Impact Hub Sweden.

  • Architect from Monterrey working in the new inclusive strategy “Monterrey Metróplis” for a more inclusive and sustainable urbanization

Moderator : Gilberto Miranda

  • Founder of Altius Consultores. Consultancy about sustainability and communication.

Themes will include urban design, mobility, vulnerable communities, access to green spaces, as well as inclusive human settlements and public policies, among others.

Let’s talk about science policy in the age of COVID-19 with Interim Executive Director of Evidence for Democracy Kimberly Girling!

In this BBL, we welcome Evidence for Democracy, a non-profit that promotes the use of evidence in government decision-making. We’ll share a bit about what we do, and discuss why science policy and science advocacy matter in light of COVID-19. We will also share some tips on how folks can get involved in advocacy.

Kimberly Girling is the Interim Executive Director at Evidence for Democracy, a non-profit organization promoting the use of evidence in government decisions. She has a PhD in Neuroscience, and has worked on drug policy, harm reduction, human enhancement, science communication and more.

Brown Bag Lunches are Impact Hub Ottawa’s weekly lunch & learns led by Hubbers, for members and non-members alike. Topics vary each week, but you’re always sure to learn something new!
