ABOUT THIS SESSION

Filipino culture has been shaped by numerous influences, both foreign and local. It is also what often inspires the multitude of art in different mediums such as film, music, dance, visual arts, and so much more. It is safe to say that these arts, however, have drastically evolved throughout the years as there has been a shift in popularity from traditional to digital art coupled with the shift in attitude with regards to art.

The youth of today belong to the generation that will dictate the future of the Filipino culture. The hope of positively preserving the culture of the past in integration with the voice of tomorrow strongly remains. There is a pressing need for Filipino culture to shine through modern concepts. With this, we hope to uncover the youth’s notion of what Filipino culture and arts are through this webinar.

Join us for the second event of the FABE circle – if you work in the furniture, architecture or construction industry (or are interested in these topics), you are warmly invited to join us for an exchange of ideas and opportunity to meet peers.

We’ll dive into the question ‘What is circular design?’, and are especially looking to you, the participants, to bring us ideas and examples from your own experiences. This includes for example concepts of modularity, repair, re-use, ownership models (leasing), material choice and so on.

Francis Rafal is a video entrepreneur and educator based in Vienna, Austria, currently working on three ventures in the media industry: The Content Creation School teaches businesses how to create digital content like photos, videos, or podcasts to engage their audience.

The film production company Rafal Studios produces high-end commercials and video content. And Ninjawerk engineers top-notch but easy-to-use film equipment for professionals.

Francis has already taught over 4,000 people offline and online how to create better content and is the author of the highest-rated video production online course on Udemy „Filmen mit dem Smartphone (German: How to shoot videos on your smartphone)“.

Before starting his entrepreneurial journey, Francis worked as a physics teacher in a secondary school.
