How to harness the power of data for good!

We know that data has the power to make change. But how specifically can that power be harnessed to make a positive difference, locally and globally?

This week, Hubber Jennifer Shellinck will talk about going from high-level goals to the nuts and bolts of working with data, and how to connect these dots.

Jennifer Shellinck is an Ottawa-based data scientist who founded the data science company Sysabee to help organizations tackle thorny data problems that matter.

Jen’s passion is in bringing cutting-edge data technology to organizations wanting to form the best analysis and decisions. Sysabee applies the very latest machine-learning and systems-modeling to help organizations achieve their greater potential.

Jennifer is also the founding member of the Data Science Experts Group, an association of specialists who customize data-driven solutions for each client. Jennifer’s machine learning and simulation expertise comes from her background in Cognitive Science, earning a Ph.D. in 2009. As an adjunct professor at Carleton University, she remains active in academic research and keeps up-to-date on the latest research.
