Putting Marketing Into Action with a Startup Marketing Plan

Startup marketing can feel overwhelming. However, a well-thought-out and appropriately scoped marketing plan will greatly impact your success. In this session two startup marketing veterans will show you how to create that marketing plan while ensuring that it fits the goals of your business and your available resources. Topics covered will include website optimization and how to prioritize marketing channels.

Dan LaBelle has been leading marketing initiatives for companies of all sizes for over 20 years. Earlier in his career Dan founded a successful marketing agency that served clients such as Southern California Edison, University of Irvine, and others. Most recently he spent several years in the Bay Area and Seattle mastering the complexity of marketing Software-as-a-Solution (SaaS) software while building several high functioning multi-member marketing teams from scratch. When not geeking out over marketing metrics, Dan can be found going for walks with his wife Cindy, playing far too many video games or adding another model to his much too large Lego collection.

Sam Engel has been building brands and marketing programs for more than a decade, both in-house and as an agency partner. Sam’s career spans brands large and small, including the National MS Society and Pinchot University (now merged with Presidio Graduate School), the top US graduate school in sustainability. In his spare time, Sam enjoys outdoor adventures, running with his dog Freya, and tabletop gaming.
